I go Dec. 5 for what my doctor called the sugar test. I am 27 weeks pregnant and I have to drink this drink before I leave my house. I read the bottle and it says side effects could be vomiting, diarhea, and fainting. My husband can’t take off work that day and I have to drive myself to the doctor. Should I worry about my safety? I always drive myself to the doctor but I just am not sure if I could actually have a bad reaction to the drink. Also, what do they do and what does the test determine?

the test just determines if you are anemic or not. i wouldnt worry. if your doctor thought that there were any serious side effects that would affect you he would have told you that you need to get a ride from someone!
